Pair of torches in chased, gilded and patinated bronze, the shaft adorned with a couple draped in the antique style holding an amphora from which a flower escapes forming the light. The cylindrical shaft rests on a base decorated with mascarons and draperies. Early 19th century H. 34.5 cm - W. 8 cm - D. 8 cm (wear to gilding, needs cleaning, one of the stems needs tightening) This pair of torches highlights the refined neo-classical taste of the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
