MARTA COLVIN (1907-1995) Torres del Silencio (Tower[s] of Silence) model created around [1960-1961] and presented at the VIII Bienal de São Paulo, 1965, our proof probably numbered II/III and made between 1961 and 1964 Sculpture. Bronze proof with golden-brown patina. Marble base. Early edition; 1961-1964. Signed M. COLVIN and probably numbered II/III (illegible) towards the base. H. sculpture alone: 35 cm H. with base: 41 cm Small scattered chips on the marble base. Provenance : Anita de Caro and Roger Veillard Collection. Our work can be seen on a photograph of Anita de Caro and Roger Vieillard's salon published in May 1964 in Apollo Magazine of the Art. A copy of this document may be given to the purchaser.
