François RAVARD (Born 1981) Fair wind Watercolor and gouache on Saunders Waterford paper Signed lower right 38.5 x 28.5 cm The title of this original watercolor and gouache painting is "Bon vent". The idea was to depict generational transmission through an ordinary beach scene between a man and his grandson, as can be seen on any beach. François Ravard has published some thirty comic strips and children's books with Futuropolis, Glénat, Flammarion, Casterman and Gallimard jeunesse. Alongside his publishing projects, he also works for the press (Fluide Glacial, 1 hebdo, Nouvel Obs, Bastille Magazine...) and produces humorous marine watercolors, which he exhibits in his Dinard gallery, Galerie Alfred.
