Nicolas Hericourt (1729-1790) obtained a patent of privilege that allowed him to stamp like the masters; this stamp is unusual. His business, obtained from his aunt, was called Cabinet Dauphin, cited as a supplier to the Crown's furniture repository as early as 1763. His clients included the Prince de Condé, the Princess of Monaco, the Duc de Lauzun, de Sully and Prince Camille de Rohan. He delivered furniture to Louveciennes for Madame Du Barry.
