Lot of two Chinese books: 1- Official Almanac of the Seventh Year of the Republic of China 中華民国七年時憲書 This type of document, called "時憲書" (shíxiànshū), is an official almanac published by the Chinese government. It generally contained astronomical, calendrical and astrological information used to determine important dates, eclipses, seasons and other celestial phenomena. The inscription "中華民国七年" means the 7ᵉ year of the Republic of China, which corresponds to the Gregorian calendar year 1918. This almanac would therefore have been used in China in that year for planning administrative, agricultural and ritual activities. It was an essential tool for civil servants, farmers and astrologers, based on the traditional Chinese calendar but updated with the scientific knowledge of the time.
