Lace-maker's box In fruitwood, mounted with dovetails and nails. Domed lid, covered with green fabric. Two glass inserts on the front (with brocaded silk appliqué). Decorated on the sides with half-rosettes and full rosettes, between friezes of wolf's teeth and round-headed brass nails. Bears the date "1867" and the monograms "OF" and "OM". Auvergne, late 19th century Dimensions: 12.5 x 28 cm - Depth: 18 cm Condition: worming, pitting, restoration to lid, interior housings missing, textile changed.
