Cloisonné enamel on copper snuffbox, China, late 19th century, in cloisonné enamel on copper, of baluster form resting on an oval foot, with polychrome decoration on a turquoise background of small flowers and a frieze of ruyi around the neck. The bottle is flanked on either side by a large Buddhist lion-head mask holding a ring in its mouth. Cloisonné stopper. H. 8.6 cm (small chips, snuff stem broken)
