Cloisonné enamel on copper baluster vase with floral design The body with polychrome decoration of numerous flowers, buds, foliage and butterflies on a turquoise-blue enameled background with a Greek motif. The neck decorated with lotus flowers and foliage in the Ming style and a frieze of ruyi heads. Mounted as a kerosene lamp in Europe, it stands on a quadrangular gilt-bronze base resting on four lion-head feet linked by a Chinese-style openwork base with ruyi and foliage. The neck is encircled by an ormolu frame chased with openwork palmettes. China, 19th century H. 37 cm (pierced bottom)
