* Pair of torches after André Antoine RAVRIO (1759-1814) in chased, patinated and gilded bronze, the shaft surmounted by a ring decorated with palmettes, the circular guilloche base. Empire period H. 24.5 cm (the gilding has been restored) These torches were found in 1810 at the Palais de Fontainebleau, in the cabinet of the Connetable's apartment, described as "Deux flambeaux, pieds ronds, gorge ciselée, tige à gaines unie, palmette par le haut" ("Two torches, round legs, chased throat, stems with plain sheaths, palmette at the top").
