Part of a scroll, ink and polychrome on silk in the sansui style, decorated with figures in a snow-covered wooded and mountainous landscape. Some are on foot or mule-back on bridges and paths, while others are busy around a village. It bears the signature of Qian Xuan (1235-1300). China, 19th century Framed under glass W. 179 cm - H. 26.9 cm The scene in this painting was probably inspired by a poem by Wen Tingyun (a famous Tang poet, active around 859) entitled "Departure at dawn on Mount Shang".

Magasinage Drouot: Any item/lot remaining in the auction room the day after the sale at 10 a.m., and not picked up by the auction company, is stored in the Magasinage department of Hôtel Drouot. Access via 6bis rue Rossini - 75009 Paris. Open Monday to Friday from 1.30 pm to 6 pm and Saturdays from 8 am to 10 am. The shopping service is subject to a fee, payable by the purchaser. Rates as of November 25, 2023 are as follows:

Processing fees, depending on the nature of the lot (€5 / €10 / €15 / €20 / €25 incl. VAT), capped at €100 incl. VAT per withdrawal.

Daily storage and insurance fees, from the 3rd working day, depending on the nature of the lot (€1 / €5 / €10 / €15 / €20).

A 50% discount on storage fees is granted to foreign customers and art market professionals outside the Paris region, on presentation of proof.

After one calendar year, lots will be stored outside the Hôtel Drouot warehouse.

Nicolas Nouvelet Commissaire-Priseur cannot be held responsible in any way whatsoever for storage at the Hôtel des ventes.

Study return :

Lots subject to a study return may be collected from Thursday 21 March 2024 at our office: 80, rue du Rocher 75008 Paris

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 12:30pm and 2pm to 5:30pm.

Lots can only be collected on presentation of proof of identity in the buyer's name.
