* The blade of this koshirae is engraved on one side with an orimono depicting a dragon in pursuit of the sacred pearl, and on the other with two vajra points, two fine throats and a bonji.
The koshirae consists of a tsuka covered in same inserted into a lacquered wooden handle adorned with silver-plated copper mounts decorated with clouds.
The scabbard, in lacquered wood with a black background, is decorated with gold-lacquered clouds, a silvered copper dragon in relief and silvered copper mounts with cloud motifs.
The latter features the mon of the Tokugawa family on one side and the mon of the Matsudaira family of Isen on the other. Oni head flanked by a suspension ring.
The scabbard bears a gold lacquered inscription 松平石見守所持 - Matsudaira iwami nokami shoji - meaning "property of Matsudaira iwami nokami".
