Large gilded and repoussé copper plaque depicting a Mahasiddha, probably Naropa, seated cross-legged. His left arm resting on his knee, his left leg held in a meditation strap and his right hand performing the vitarka mudra. Torso adorned with jewels. The head is haloed and adorned with a citipati. In the background, he is adorned with a mandorla decorated with conch shells and waves. The base is in partially gilded copper with chased scrolls in reserves and is adorned with 3 deities, including 2 Mahakalas at the extremes. Tibet, 19th century H. 60 cm (wear and oxidation)
